ABOUT US
This family-style hotel is run by the Bergman family, especially by Christina, the youngest daughter. When constructing the hotel the family decided to call it the "Emerald Forest Hotel". The original name was chosen because of the beautiful park surrounding the hotel and the fantastic colours of the numerous trees in autumn. Now after renovating, is the hotel paying more attention to sustainability and a relaxing enviroment.The hotel is now called '' The Green Emerald'' This is because we are more focussed on our customers, and like our slogan says: The Green Emerald, Where we treat you with value.

Nowadays there are so many threaths for the well being of the planet, like: climate change and pollution in the air, on land and in sea. The Green Emerald finds this very important. The past few years we have changed the folowing things to make our hotel more eco friendly! - using solar power for electricity - water reduction by special shower heads - recycling - using local food/more organic food on the menu - use of organic cleaning products - use of organic bedsheets - less use off plastic materials -more green in and around the hotel -as a bonus: free basket of fruit at the service desk
We are happy to announce that we have received our golden green key , wich means we are a sustainable hotel. This year we will also plant trees, on per overnight stay, so you are also helping the world by booking at our hotel!
